Hey hey hey! You get me two weeks in a row because the lovely WonderAli was indisposed acting in Lost in Yonkers.  Don't worry though, I watched plenty of TV and we've got some more finales to talk about.

Monday

No Reservations
First off, go on over to the Food Fight article and share YOUR thoughts on Bourdain and No Reservations. This was on of the special non-travel episodes of No Reservations. The topic this time was "Obsessed" and it was a series of segments with people obsessed with different kinds of food like pizza, cheese, pork, beef, fish and one long segment on Food Bloggers in general. I love seeing people passionate about things so it was really interesting seeing these people talk about foods they love. Including Bourdain talking about how he chose to continue eating pork and take Lipitor instead of changing his diet completely due to cholesterol problems.

Other shows I watched: House, Good Eats, Big Bang Theory, Chuck, Castle, 24, How I Met Your Mother

Tuesday

White Collar
Season finale #1, White Collar wrapped up season one with a fairly strong episode. I still don't love the show but it's good enough to keep me coming back. If it weren't for Mozzie and Peter I'd just not watch it next season. (Much like how Sam and the mother keep me coming back to Burn Notice).  This season ended with a literal bang with the explosion of a plane taking out a fairly major (in terms of importance, not screen time) character, or so it seemed. I'm looking forward to seeing what this means for the show next season now that a few of the mysteries surrounding Neal's release have been revealed.

Other shows I watched: Lost, Southland

Wednesday

Psych
Season finale #2.  The return the Yang, and the introduction of Yin.  I really liked seeing the McPoyle guy come back as the obsessed detective guy, and this heavier story on Psych was great. I love that while the show is almost always light and fun all the actors can pull off the dramatic stuff in these more intense season finales.  I'm very curious why Yin had a picture of Shawn on his/her desk. A friend of mine hypothesized it was his mom but that seems to be a bit of a stretch. I'm going to miss Rachel Leigh Cook as well.

Other shows I watched: Modern Family, The Middle, Scrubs, Criminal Minds, Ugly Betty, Human Target

Thursday

Community
If you haven't tried out Community yet, you're missing out. It's probably my favourite new comedy in years.  Great ensemble cast with just enough "heart" to be awesome. This episode had some family members showing up, it has Troy's mildly abusive grandmother who ended up spanking Britta with a "Switch" which may have been one of the most disturbing and funny things I've ever seen on TV.  Pierce also brought one of his dozen or so ex-step-daughters who ended up mainly being there to sleep with Jeff and get money from Pierce.  There were a few touching moments with Abed's cousin and Shirley's kids as well.  Love this show so much.

Other shows I watched: 30 Rock, Survivor, Grey's Anatomy, The Office, Private Practice, Parks&Rec, The Mentalist

Friday

Numb3rs
Season finale #3.  This could have worked as a series finale, I'm pretty sure Numb3rs has been renewed for next season but I'm wondering if they knew that for sure when they had planned this ep.  We finally see Amita and Charlie getting married and going off to Oxford for a while (surely to be back with the next season premiere), Don proposes to his long term girlfriend, the dad gets a house of his own, Larry is back and in Charlie's role for the time being and assorted other things sort of wrapped up and were left open ended for the future.  This is a totally ridiculous show but the chemstry of the main characters keeps me coming back. I love the Epps family a ton and Larry is fantastic.

Other shows I watched: Caprica

Saturday

Murder Mystery
I had my 20 year reunion from James D. Murder this weekend, well not really, but that's what we pretended.  I was Joe Nebraska, former jock and all around awesome high school guy turned PE teacher who is starting to be discontent with his married life. Turns out my wife Natalie Nebraska FAKED her pregnancy that got me to marry her and turn away from my much more compatible Pamela Abdul. She also cheated on me with that jackass director Steven Spielson who made a terrible movie that portrayed me and my friends as dumb goons.  I'm glad Molly Ringworm killed him because he was totally going to tell people about her former porn career and that would ruin this Emmy Winners chances at a prolific future! I didn't win best actor this time, that went to Steven Spielson, but good times were had by all!

Sunday

Amazing Race
Jeff and Jordan better get their act together or I am not going to be happy.  I loved those two on Big Brother and they just keep fucking up.  Right now I'm really liking the cops and the cowboys but almost everyone else (aside from Jeff and Jordan, natch) are annoying the crap out of me.  The beauty queen has to go, as do the bickering lesbians.

Other shows I watched: Desperate Housewives

Last week's Community was probably the funniest of the season so far. Just that whole moment with Pictionary with Peirce trying to draw a windmill. Oh man that had me in tears, then we get to the end of it with the cop:

"I may be a simple cop, but this isn't going to stop until Pictionary stops using the word 'windmill'".

So in this universe, people get into fights all the time because of that word. Hilarious. Then we have the slam against Glee at the very end which I was surprised you didn't mention. Not because I hate the show just as much as Jeff does but it's a very weird way to end a show.

"We always watched the shows she wanted to watch...I hate Glee."-Jeff

"I'm not crazy about it either."-Pierce

"I hate it....I don't understand the appeal at all!"-Jeff

I don't know if it's the funniest one yet, the week before with White Abed and naked billiards might have been funnier.

I think that episode had the funniest and most disturbing 3rd Act. Only a few privileged got to see Joel's....naughty bits. Overall though I think this episode had the best jokes from start to finish.
